once it has formed, grew, and then done something radical! But cultism is a mentality; a mindset; a way of being and thinking. The Cult is the assemblage of individual's that are cult-leaders and cult-followers, which converge or coalesce, based upon a culture-specific theme. But the seeds exist in them all, and Satan plants them well before the epoch that brings the cult to open fame. We look at radical cultism as the definition of all popular cults, and for logic's sake, they are surely cults. But we must understand the ideals of the cultic mentality in general; or cultism: Cultism is the end-result of religions that are filled with leaders and followers with the propensity for cultism to begin with; wherein they seek to separate themselves from other humans. Unlike the reports, there are really no intelligent cultists; indeed cultism is a manifestation of non-intelligence (with psychopaths leading simpletons; hence the mind control). In essence; the cultist followers feel (or are) disenfranchised; weak; even anti-social, and so, they seek to group with others much like them (peas in a pod; birds of a feather). Most cults jump upon, and grow out of/from, some culturally relevant bandwagon, as with the Jim Jones Pentecostal train and "the San Francisco Way" of the hippie days; indeed, all cults share a few basic traits, as described well in Wikipedia.com's cult page (linked below). And yet, Wiki admits that there's not a firm definition for the word "cult", and so I will write it for them. However, they will not likely post it, because for one, they are secular, and so they only see anything that is anti-culture, not specifically anti-Christ. It would likewise seem radical to them, and indeed to anyone not Indwelled by the Holy Spirit. Without the Indwelling, religion makes humans divisionist's, and thus legalistic and isolationists. <br><br><b> <u>Nonetheless, the most accurate definition of a "Christian cult" is any individual person (leaders or followers) involved in any assembled group or under any label or banner</u>: <br><ul> <li>That does not recognize the Body of Christ spread out globally, from every tongue, nation and race; seeking them out passionately and interacting with them as Brethren that they're dedicated to yoking with and serving! (And this is not ecumenicalism) <br> <li>Cultist's see their group as the only Godly people; they are The Way, and every other religion-group are deluded!<br> <li>All denominations are cults; denominationalism breaks Jesus' heart! (John 17)!<br> <li>All cults have human leaders that consider themselves as prophets or apostles, anointed by God more than others; that elevates them over other's.<br> <li>They believe they have the right to be authority over other humans; that controlism will help followers to be Saved. They suffer from authoritarianism or controlism, and try to lead by command (laws, rules) rather than by example. Thus, they try to control the actions of followers as a way to keep their people in the faith (fold)!<br> <li>Cultists hold titles such as Reverend, Executive, Dr. or some other hierarchal terminology copied, either from former generations of religionists, or from the culture they inhabit, and, they crave to be in "leadership" roles.<br> <li>Cultist's believe they have supernatural powers; that they can command the Holy Spirit to perform "miracles" for them.<br> <li>All cults have inappropriate sexual activities (polygamy, polyamory, pedophilia, promiscuity, homosexuality, adultery, etc.). <br> <li>Cults promote marriage over singleness. The Bible actually teaches the opposite, but does not condemn marriage! <br> <li>All cultists believe they can indoctrinate or baptize children and adults into the Kingdom of Heaven, not recognizing the predestination paradox.<br> <li>All cultists promote and support the Godless world around them, financing and glorifying the Godless world. <br> <li>Cultists take monies from strangers, charge people for their religious "services", and do not labor for their own food and shelter, nor do they support their own ministries; their callings, because they are in fact, not called-out ones. </b></ul><br> You may read this and think; hey, this applies to most everyone! Well, you must realize where you are, and when you are. We are full-on into the Laodicean Age; the end-times, and the mass-corruption that will mark it in time. We do not know the day, but we know the season! Cultists like to set dates; again, another sign of the cultist; special knowledge that they alone, know about; this, of course, attracts cult-followers! Without God-in-them, the cultists seek God in some other manifestation, like a burning bush, as it were! They have a need to elevate other humans; they're star-struck, and seeking charismatic leaders to feed them Spiritually. But humans are not coerced into being born again; we humans cannot be forced to surrender, only to conform to the one being forceful. The will cannot be broken by the works of mortal men, for a man convinced his will, is of the same opinion still! When humans look to other humans to live-Christ, they are displaying the fruit of Godlessness; of powerlessness. The Indwelling Holy Spirit greatly empowers us, and teaches us, and guides us: The lost just follow those in front of them! Cultists try to convince people to participate in their own brand of religious dogma, and then think that this conformation is the fruit of salvation (it is not). We must understand that many of the ways and directives of cults are Biblical. This is not about them being all wrong, or all right! Jesus warns clearly about leaven; that there will be only a pinch of leaven in the loaf. It is often 98% truth and 2% false (or some measure like that). In other words, if it was 50%-50% or 70-30, most would see it, no matter how simpleminded they are! But as the Bible also says; the Holy Spirit will teach us all things: </font></p> <font size=3 face=times new roman> 1st Corinthians 2: And I, brothers, when I came to you, did not come with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. But, we speak wisdom among those who are perfect; yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the rulers of this world, that come to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, which God has hidden, predetermining it before the world for our glory; which none of the rulers of this world knew (for if they had known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory). But as it is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard," nor has it entered into the heart of man, "the things which God has prepared for those who love Him." But God has revealed them to us by His Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, yea, the deep things of God. For who among men knows the things of a man except the spirit of man within him? So also no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. But we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit from God, so that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is judged by no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ. </font></p> <font size=3 face=arial> Who has the mind of Christ? Only those with the Indwelling Holy Spirit. If an individual wants desperately to follow Christ; to obey God, that daily-cross-surrender will make way for the Indwelling Holy Spirit; once God knows that you have surrendered your will and your life unto Him, that Indwelling will enter in and turn on the lights, as it were: Twas blind but now I see! We are no longer in Spiritual darkness, and when we see, we see everything! The individual is enlightened by the Holy Spirit within. But as with most cults, it is the theology of their cult-group (or the mind of the cult-leader) that is supposedly enlightened. Indeed, most modern religious-businesses have their own "Cult Ministries"; they are yet another attempt at indoctrination to their own brand; they are getting camps changed; they are putting on a culturally relevant production that they hope will win the customers of the church next door! They hope that church-hopping will benefit their brand of Christianity, but in truth, they are all cults (themselves), by nature of their business status. The Body of Christ; the Fellowship of Yahshua, is a family of individual's who live and work together; we are not a weekend business. Cult Ministries therefore, are just another pathetic attempt at swaying one group or individual, to your group; an evangelical method of winning over the competitions clients! But we do not follow Christ as a group, we follow Christ alone, and then assemble as a group, as a consequence of that Spiritual yoke between ourselves and God. Our relationship with Christ is one-on-one, and if it is not, then the fruit speaks for itself. Therefore, we volition to Love as Christ; think as Christ; live as Christ: And that is witnessed in ones lifestyle; how one lives upon the Earth! We don't merely add religion to our Godless existence, we are born again; we are literally erased, renewed and restarted, like a corrupt computer hard-drive! We cease and desist, and start over, living like Christ, abandoning our former life and its lifestyle (its beliefs, its indoctrinations). </font></p> <font size=3 face=times new roman> Matthew 9:16-17 No one puts a piece of new cloth onto an old garment; for that which is put in to fill it up takes from the garment, and the tear is made worse. Nor do men put new wine into old wineskins; else the wineskins burst, and the wine runs out, and the wineskins perish. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved together. <br> 1st Corinthians 5:6-8 | 2nd Corn. 5:17 Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump? Therefore purge out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, as you are unleavened. For also Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast; not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. | So that if any one is in Christ, that one is a new creature; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. </font></p> <font size=3 face=arial> All Gods chosen ones; the Elect of God, are part of the Body of Christ; the bride of Christ; the children of God; the Discipleship of Yahshua Messiah! We're all more than just related; more than just spending eternity together, we are symbiotic (both now and then): It's a Spiritual symbiosis that will begin at each individual's true conversion/transformation unto Christ (the Indwelling Holy Spirit), and will last every second thereafter, forever and ever. It is a yoke without end; an eternal bond that is utterly impossible to break or divide or destroy. God is the one holding it/us together, now and forever. Consequently, those who do not seek out fervently, the Body of Christ (which is made of individual parts, or people, globally), they are not part of that Body (of Christ)! Denominationalism itself is but an outward, measurable manifestation of divisionism, which itself, is a Godless, carnal mindset or mentality; it hedges on cultism. Humans without Christ-in-them, are carnal, and carnal humans think in individualistic mindsets (the "us-against-them" pathology that leads to Denominationalism, Patriotism, Racism, etc.)! This is because they feel alone in the universe (they are Spiritless); and yet, they divide themselves up from other humans, by anything they can grasp onto, just like the animals do. Indeed, the animal within, rules, not the Indwelling Holy Spirit, and so competitivism, rather than cooperation, rules thoughts and thus actions. This is why there is so much division in religion (there is no true division in the Body of Christ, only within its label holders). In cultures where religion is a powerful (socio-cultural) force, Christianity is no different than Hinduism, Darwinism, Taoism, Islam or Buddhism; any brand of religion held in the culture. Europe and the West just so happens to be culturally bent towards the tradition of religion entitled "Christianity" (thanks to Emperor Constantine), but that "tradition" does not mean they have been radically transformed and metamorphosed by the Indwelling Holy Spirit, any more than someone being Christian just because they celebrate Christmas! This same logic presides over salvation itself; we do not become Indwelled by the Holy Spirit simply by commanding God to enter us; by weeping from guilt at the alter-call; by attending church services and tithing; by attending our parents church. In fact, with rare occasion, the Indwelling never occurs inside a church-business during its (mammon sold) services, and the reason is clear to all who are already Indwelled by God. The ticket to Heaven is Not purchased at the church-business, or because of it! The religion-businesses (the professional religionist) must isolate its payees so that they do not go and give their tithes to some other church-business. <br> <br> This isolationism is manifest in all the standard indoctrination paradigms: Formal Education Institutions like Schools of Theology, or the Sunday morning church classrooms! The many cults of Christianity have their own hot irons of theological branding; conversely, the Body of Christ have the Indwelling Holy Spirit, the Author of Scripture, decoding the printed Word. That printed word becomes a two-edged sword, because without the Indwelling Holy Spirit, those who wield it will be destroyed by it, sooner or later. Isolationist groups usually have a defined leader who keeps the flock away from other religions. In this box, they do not learn and grow, beyond what's being feed them by their "leader". Typically, the leader is a simpleton who soon becomes conspiratory in their mind. As simpletons, they do not recognize many things, and so they're quick to label anything they are not familiar with (which is most everything) as dangerous, or not of God. The simpleton has a small vocabulary, and as such, may look upon anyone speaking/using words they do not know, as new age or scientific; again, not of God. If someone speaks outside of their own brand of religious dogma, they are not "Christian". They honestly believe that the only Christians on Earth are those just like them, and that's all: This is the cultist pathology! Indeed, the words "cultist pathology" is unfamiliar to many people, and so they would read this page and conclude that I am not a Christian; that, because they do not comprehend what I write; I am perhaps, writing over their heads! The cults develop their own language, just like gangs do; just like indigenous groups do, when they are isolated from the populous. This same process works within isolationists; they get trained in a certain way of communication, which in turn, affects how they perceive the world and thus, how they think. This process is what causes culture shock when humans travel into a completely new culture, and cannot communicate linguistically nor by any other means, because there is so much tension. But the Body of Christ are one; we live well above cultural or language differences, because we have a single-minded core: The Indwelling Holy Spirit! We all may have differing upbringings; we may have been acculturated, but in Christ, we see the same painting of life from a universal perspective; from a God-perspective! <br> <br> There are no Saved/transformed, religious-professionals! A human is either conquered and controlled by the Indwelling Holy Spirit of God; OR, they're evil. There's no such thing as "a good person" (Luke 18:19 / Romans 3:10). Aside from this and other simpleton cultural clichés, "people" are fallen and sin-satiated, and only the Indwelling can change that. Without the Indwelling, all humans are capable of extreme evil. Therefore, it is impossible to give wealth to a Godless person, and expect Godly results; quite the opposite. The Godless are controlled by Satan, and I do not care how "good" or "nice" or "attractive" they are. This is true of Political Governments; they are all (with very rare exception), evil men and women who are dedicated to NOT serving the Lord Jesus Christ! Politicians play the "Christian" card, but that don't make them transformed by Christ! When a Godless person has access and/or control of large sums of money, corruption and evil is a dead-certainty; be it within religion, politics or business! The business of religion, popularized by the Catholics a few dozen decades after Christ, was similarly adopted by the Godless-religious hanging their shingles under the Protestant banner. A true Saved/Indwelled Christian would accept imprisonment before they would sign a 501c3 tax-exempt status with the US IRS. Conversely, the Godless-religious will do anything necessary to have a religious business; a podium to pound and/or an income from it all! The need to use God and the Bible for personal and professional gain, is no better witnessed and measured, than at the trough of the Godless world, where the Godless, and the Godless-religious, both share continually in the dead water. Since it is perfectly legal; indeed, Constitutional, to worship in the USA, one wonders why anyone would actually seek out a Godless Government for permission to honor and serve Christ! Well, they don't, and that's just the point: to know for sure, who is conquered and controlled by the Indwelling Holy Spirit, as opposed to those conquered and controlled by the world (their socio-culture), we only need to be eyes-open! No Indwelled Follower of Christ has ever got a paycheck for bondservantry! Hirelings are just that; hired! They are usually hired by an incorporation that's created by the un-Godly yoke between the Government and some individual, because someone's social security number is required for any tax-exempt business to operate its business within the USA. The US Government is ravenous with money; they're the largest addict to ever exist on Earth. We could end world hunger for 70 years on what the US Government squanders per day. The scope of the squandering is hard to fathom. US tax monies has been re-funneled surreptitiously, and has made more men millionaires than any other single thing in recorded history. Taxation has become a conveyer belt that takes on more and more people, who basically secure a fat life centered on taking monies from the working class. In fact, to "render unto Caesar" applies only to businesses like a church-business, and not the children of God! <br><img src="img/PraysingCelebration.jpg" align="left"><br> But the Godless-religious comply with such evil as some directive from God, via the Bible, and yet, no such indications exist in Scripture; indeed, Jesus was crucified for being anti-government; anti-establishment! The Godless-religious who operate businesses in the Capitalist Oligarchies, want to give the impression that their yoke with the Godless is Biblical. What they really want is the tax-exemption status that brings in mammon that keeps them out of the labor fields. The Godless world is fixated on humans-past; all cults have some trace back to some human. and while the godless world builds memorials to honor the dead, we of the Indwelling honor only the Lord Jesus Christ, and one another within the Body of Christ. The Godless world exploits the emotion-packages to keep its taxpayers compliant and dedicated to their causes (hence we have war memorials, national holidays, patriotism/nationalism, etc.) And the religion-businesses play the same mind-games with its taxpayers (its tithes)! The ego is void without the Indwelling Holy Spirit; it is desperate and pathetic, and so, this is why the Godless humans try to immortalize themselves, by trying to become President, to go down in history; to become something; anything to be remembered by humans-future: Why? Because they do not have a Spiritual life; they are cocooned in the corporeal; they are trapped in the now. This life IS life; it's all there is for them, and so they need to make the best of it (and they will). This is why memorialism is so important to them; they need to be a "somebody", and yet, when we die, most of us are soon forgotten. Thus, Godless countries throughout human History, were really into Memorials; really invested in memorialism, especially of Kings and other political leaders. A Memorial is a glorification of humans-past. To Memorialize war is horrifying to God, most of all, because it makes killing and death a thing to glorify over. The belief that freedom was won through killing and warring is the consequence of a dark indoctrination of the human mind. This form of indoctrination (the patriotism propaganda) is morbid; it all got popularized by the Europeans, and indeed, was the catalyst of Hitler and the Third Reich. The Protestants and Catholics alike, recognized the power of glorifying war; of patriotism, and the Catholics were the first in bed with Hitler (who was honored in this photographed Mass). Cultism therefore, differs little from the occult; it focuses on the efforts of man, as it gets its power from the divine; to gain power over others. This is why Jesus Christ (and all who are Indwelled by His Spirit) are pacifists, because we do not see this life, as Life! We know that this life is but a vapor; that, what we do in the here and now, determines where we will spend eternity. What we do, and do not do, in the here & now, is the evidence of our true Spiritual status. Without God-in-us, we fear death, and are thus willing to kill in order to live, exactly because we believe this is all the life we will ever experience: It's called the Peter Principle! (Study Peter's life before and after Pentecost: from the gospels to the book of Acts). Killing and war becomes the fruit-evidence of an untransformed life, within those who participate in them and those who glorify them. These are the yokes that God wants His children to avoid, even unto our own demise. We are not to yoke with unbelievers; we are not to be conformed to this world; we are not to fight for our own freedom; we are not to partake with unbelievers. </font></p> <hr> <font size=3 face=eurostile> <b> <u> The DECEPTION of Church Incorp. & 501c(3) Tax Exemption. </u> (Posted at forums.ourchurch.com: 1/4/06) </b> <br> Since the early days of the American church, religious institutions have routinely incorporated their denominations and their various para-church outreaches. Incorporation is a legal means in which a group seeks to shield the institution from catastrophic legal consequences. It installs favorable financial structures that, at least theoretically, benefit the various institutions. Incorporation is also commonly utilized as a legal means to perpetuate the teachings and the work of the institution's founder after his demise. In short, it is a legal way for a leader to build an institution that will perpetuate his work and pass on the control of that institution to others in a multi-generational fashion. Few pastors ever consider the spiritual ramifications of their legal structure, for it has been deeply ingrained that incorporation is a necessary prerequisite to applying for tax exempt status. Pastors were taught this at their Seminaries and various denominational educational institutions, and for the last century this pattern has seemed to be the logical progression for church growth. This compartmentalization never seemed threatening to the faith of the individual pastor for they easily divided their business duties from their scriptural responsibilities. This is a grave error. Under the Constitution of the United States, churches are tax immune. The very nature of the American revolution was related to the desire to separate oneself to the freedom to worship God without political constraints. Ever since King Henry broke with the Pope centuries ago, in the British state church (the Anglican denomination), the king was always the designated head of that church. When the colonials came to America, they brought with them a great desire to form their own churches without any state control whatsoever. As the American congregations grew and prospered, they became more sophisticated in their financial dealings. They felt the need to build financial structures to administer their increasing wealth. Churches formed publishing houses, broadcast networks, overseas schools, soup lines, and dozens of other types of outreach ministries. The government, constrained by the Constitution, was not only forbidden to tax the church, they were forbidden to regulate it in any way. In order to neutralize the spiritual and political power the early American churches held, the spiritual principalities ruling the bureaucracy developed the concept of tax exemption -- as opposed to tax immunity. The system developed as a quid pro quo relationship between the churches and the government--or in the modern idiom, 'you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.' Government granted the incredibly intoxicating privilege of tax deductibility for any donation a citizen or corporation gave to churches -- assuming that the "church" had formally received the government's tax exemption. The churches, in return, agreed in writing not to become directly involved in the political process. <br><br> In America today, many pastors will tell you they believe the church should not be involved in politics because they're "not called to do that." They frequently cite the great commission of Jesus Christ to go forth and evangelize. What they commonly conceal is the fact that they cannot legally endorse political candidates. They cannot campaign for specific legislative initiatives. They cannot directly contribute to political campaigns. The truth is, they are legally forbidden to become directly involved in the political process because they have agreed not to do that in order to receive the 501c(3) tax exemption from the Internal Revenue Service. And every single church in America with this tax exemption voluntarily applied to receive it. So when the pastors tell you they don't believe the church should be involved in the civil political structure, the truth is their religious practice is actually in voluntary conformity to what the state has imposed as a condition of receiving their non-profit tax status. Legal dictionaries define a corporation as an "artificial person." The word comes from the Latin word "corpus," meaning a body. In sort of a Freudian linguistic slip, we get our word "corpse" from the same word as corporation. This "artificial person" is actually a creation of the government that incorporated it. In short, the government is the creator and "head" of all corporations. Conversely, the Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ is the head of the church (Ephesians 5:23). While this delineation may seem to be hair-splitting, an incorporated church is in every sense under the control and direction of its creator -- the government. By every sense I mean legally, ethically, morally, financially, and even spiritually. After all, the aforementioned belief of non-involvement in government is a doctrine imposed on the corporate church by its creator, the state. Because our God places a great deal of emphasis on the law, and judges mankind based on conformity or rebellion relative to the law of God (I John 3:4), this has profound spiritual consequences. When the church leaders apply to receive the tax exemption, they are actually forfeiting their tax immunity under the constitution. The difference between immunity and exemption is subtle. To be immune from state regulation is to be completely free from the power of the state to regulate or affect one's behavior in any way. To be exempt is to submit to that power with the promise of exemption from portions of that power. In effect, the churches are saying to the government, 'we agree you have power over us, but in exchange for your exempting us from your lawful right to tax us, we will agree not to oppose your power.' In essence, they have voluntarily traded their birthright for a bowl of soup. <br><br> The book of Romans, which is widely misinterpreted as teaching we should submit everything to government (chapter 13) actually teaches the opposite. Paul writes "Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?" (Romans 6:16). Because the basic structure of the "Christian" church is now inextricably interconnected with government, the overwhelming majority of Christian leaders, pastors, and teachers refuse to receive this teaching. The church is closely aligned with the beast governments of the world through their fundamental structure. This issue supercedes doctrine. Indeed, it is the single common denominator between every religious institution in the entire world. The Bible tells us in the end times, all religion will be seduced to the degree that it is characterized in the image of a harlot woman that is seen riding on the beast of government (Revelation 13). She is named Mystery Babylon, and true believers are uncompromisingly instructed to "come out of her." This issue may be destined to become one of the most significant aspects of end-times survival as Jesus instructs his remnant church in how He wants us to proceed through the dangerous times in which we now find ourselves.</i></font></p> <hr> <center><h1><font face=papyrus>Fellowship Versus Followship!</font></h1></center> <font size=3 face=arial> The Indwelled of God are unresponsive to denominations or sects or brand-names within the religion-businesses of Christianity. In fact, Gods Elect do not really join a religion, per say; rather, we know that we are in a symbiotic Spirit-centric yoke with all other Indwelled Christians globally, and for all time-past and future, churched or not. No human is qualified to de-nominate anyone else: In fact, the Bible admonishes us to mark those who cause divisions, and to avoid them. The Body of Christ has only one leader; one star Pastor: the Lord Jesus Christ, and all the rest of us are fully equal; we are brothers and sisters; friends indeed! Any hierarchy in the church fellowships themselves, spoke more of a cultural directive; one that lasts until this day in many cultures; that of respecting the elders (us old people): Otherwise, God anoints us, He does not merely appoint us (well, except in the case of Saul the Pharisee who was destined to be radically converted into Paul the Tentmaker: appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles: who called himself a bond-servant)! Just like with the Catholic Church, and then the Protestant Churches, men who like to be in leadership positions, seek out leadership positions. In Westernized cultures (and many other parts of Earth), anyone can start their own Church-business; many cults started out that way, while still others were divisions split off of a mainstream sect/denomination! One might understand the need for accountability; the Biblical directives laid out in 1st Timothy 3 (and reiterated by Paul in Titus 1) set boundaries on church-fellowship leaders, established character manifestations as prerequisite to the Bishopric. This is fine, until we look at the massive Catholic Church, with a grand hierarchy; much seeming accountability within its Bishopric. And yet, in 2007 they paid over 600 million dollars in thousands of lawsuit settlements for child molestation cases (mostly here in UnGodly Sodom: the US). Sex is the thing to watch out for: all cults involve inappropriate sexual activity (of one kind or another), and the Catholic Church is no worse or better than any other religious organization when it comes to sexual sin. The Godless-religious are as perverse as any other person who is not conquered/controlled by the Indwelling Holy Spirit. Indeed, one of the first things that come out about a cult, is that "coming out"; the exposure of some inappropriate sexual act! What God had intended Biblically has been (as it has to be) prostituted for personal gain. The only sects that employ a Bishopric are the Catholics, the Eastern Orthodoxy, the Mormons, and many fledgling Protestant-based groups attempting to make themselves appear legitimate unto the eyes of men (there's even a book called: "The Bishopric: A Handbook on Creating Episcopacy in the African-American Pentecostal Church"). Can you see the social and political posturing; the pathetic need these people have to validate themselves in the eyes of men? Can you imagine Jesus Christ going about, passing out His business card that reads: <b>Jesus the Nazarene; The Christ: Creator of the Universe, Tekton, Doctor, Savior of the World, Highly Exalted One, Prophet of time, Lord of lords, King of kings, Master of All Things, Judge of Humankind, Destroyer of Evil! </b> Hey wait a minute; <i>is not this, the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us? -( Catholics who believe the perpetual virginity of Mary, hate this passage ;-)... </i> All humor aside; One must understand languages (like the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis, for one) in order to fully appreciate words that are translated up, over time, as opposed to how we define them (and thus think of them) today. In the English Bible, the word "bishop" comes from a root, meaning "overseer" or "watchman"; where we get the idea of (what we understand today as) a security guard, or even a coach of a team. The role/s of bishop and elder that Paul was <u>suggesting</u> for the churches had more to do with protection and order, than it did any kind of hierarchy (like a sheep herder watching the sheep)! And so, the mentality of cultism, is to see ones brand or denomination or theological stand, as the core of ones belief, rather than Jesus Christ as the Lord, and the Body of Christ (everywhere) being the children of God; His family. There is nothing wrong with belonging to a particualr group, so long as it does not become the badge or the defining core of ones Fellowship. Those who see their own denomination as the Body of Christ, rather than all individual humans who are living Christ in duty and lifestyle; these are the cultists! Jesus was a Jew; He was a part of that time/culture, and yet, He always referred to their synagogues as just that; theirs, not His own (He distanced Himself from brands/labels): Jesus lived IN the world, but was not a part OF it! This is how all, who live in Christ, via the Indwelling, live on Earth right now. Those who use the divisions created by humans-past (separatist denominators), rather than making Jesus Christ the core and center of their own personal faith; these are not of Jesus' sheepfold; these enter in by another way. There are many who use the religion of Christianity of/for their own purposes, rather than to serve the Lord as a bondservant, with Jesus alone, as their Lord; they want to be leaders, not laborers; followers, not thinkers! <br> <br> The extremist mentality is just that; extreme: There is no center, no balance, and so the extremist cannot find center or balance (where God is!). Consequently, everything is too far to the left or the right; this is why people side with others with extremist ideas, and most often within religion. There are the "Bible translation cults", as well as the "Pauline cults". There is nothing written above or beyond the Gospels, that usurp the Gospels. As an Indwelled branch of the Body of Christ; a follower/imitator of the Lord Jesus Christ, I get all my doctrine and directives (Biblically) from the Gospels; from Jesus' own mouth, acts and lifestyle. As for the others; the Epistle writers of the New Testament; they're my brethren in the Lord, and I Love them, and look forward to standing along side them as we worship God together. This same yearning applies to those brethren who penned the Bible itself. But I do not look at any mere mortal as anything better than, or above myself: There's no hierarchy in Heaven! The Apostle Paul that wrote the Epistles, and the Apostle Paul who wrote this page, are One; we are united in Christ, and Brethren equal in all ways. (And no, I do not believe in reincarnation, or Soul-recycling!). </font></p> <font size=3 face=times new roman> Matthew 9:35-38 And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Consequently, the need for power, control and domination, all stem from a state of Godlessness, wherein the Godless use religion, and the simpleton belief that we must follow other humans who are "Gods appointed leaders". It has been used to justify the lordism of men over women, landlords over land-users, whites over blacks, Jews over Gentiles! This is the cultic mind; this is the "followship" pathology that goes beyond the fellowship. This (Satanic) exploitation began even before the Catholic Church was established, for the evil one was attacking Jesus' Fellowship/s from the beginning, and has increased his militant Spiritual war against all that is <b>Jesus the Christ</b>, as time passes (and draws near to Satan's ultimate, eternal destruction): One only need Spiritual eyes, to see it plainly. </font></p> <font size=3 face=times new roman> 1st John 2:15-20 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world: If any man loves the world, the Love of the Father is not in him. God is Love, and anyone who doesn't Love others has never known Him.
