Historical Work/Labor Brief:
I built forts and treehouses in the Missouri woods as a boy in the 60's. I've been a designer and draftsperson since my teens; a veritable DaVinci in Shop. My step-father was a (really bad ;-) remodeling contractor, I was the laborer and worker every summer vacation I can recall. I've been a professional Carpenter since 76, first as a residential framer/home builder, then a trim/finish Carpenter, then later a commercial Union Carpenter attaining "Journey" status in 81 (see dorky ID photo); and my Master Carpenter status in 86! I also did Retail Tenant Improvement (mall stores/TIs) and some stage work in Hellywood while living in the O.C.! In 85 I returned to the Midwest (after marrying a girl from KC) and became a General Contractor (framed/trimmed track/custom homes) then I started design/building them myself for resale (custom builder homes). Then, following her divorcement of me, I liquidated and moved to Hawaii; after a time as beach-bum (pondering life), I started doing commercial work (high-rise hotel renovations and military base upgrades) via the Carpenters Union, or in non-Union supervisory roles, then, did residential renovations (hi-end kitchens/bath's, custom solid surface, Euro Cabinetry) as well as many fill-in jobs that were termite damage repairs to post-n-beam homes, and where I began home inspections (by demand, not by design): I was the only official home inspector on Oahu at that time; before the Inspection credential-mills existed, to tell me I'm qualified! I also worked in radio ministry, and loved it (on-air and production); it was 95.5fm, kaim, Honolulu; then owned by the BGEA (now The Fish)! I also served in worship ministry at church (drums).

Returning mainland, I re-joined the Union in CA. and installed Labratories (w/ ISEC) at University's and high-end finish work at 5 star hotels. I later partnered and built AGI Contractors (AGI=Anderson, Gates Inc.) doing residential room additions, but left it to my step-brother (due to irreconcilable differences w/$); thus I escaped LA (again), and then served at a Christian (youth) Camp on Oahu, but once that ended, again, the cost of living was too high for me (and I was the only Urban Amish on the Island)! I returned once again to KC! I'm still trying to put together an Ecovillage, and am ready to relocate anywhere, just to yoke with The Body of Christ! My Career Objective is:
For my career to die, along with the rest of my worldly pursuits! The only "career" there is for Gods Chosen, is to die daily: I.E: Serving the Lord Jesus Christ! This un-worldliness will inevitably make us social outcasts; peculiar people; anomalies! It is my prayer to find and yoke with The Body of Christ; not just any church-business or those with "Christian" or "Jesus Christ" in their titles or labels or brands. If you have the Indwelling Holy Spirit ruling within and conquering your very existence, contact me. I am not fixed in one place. I'm currently in KC; I have no worldly possessions nor do I seek any. I do not seek mammon, and will accept any kind of compensation (room & board) for an opportunity to be among the Elect of God. Because I have died to this life; this world, and am now a bond servant, I will go and do, whatever God calls me to do. Because I have God-in-me (the Indwelling HS), my past and my experiences are meaningless; both to you and to me, for God can/does use willing vessels to do anything/everything. If you believe that there is a College or University to ever exist on Earth, that could hold a candle to what the Holy Spirit can teach us, Then Jesus Christ, Saul and the Apostles, would probably not qualify either; to he who has ears to hear; eyes to see. I am seeking the Body of Christ; to bond/yoke with the Family of God, I am not interested in a worldly-modeled employment role with religious overtones. I can build the church (building) with my hands, and Pastor it with my heart, and any opportunity in between. I am not a Religionist, I'm a Disciple and Brother, seeking the same!

Personal Section: Skip unless you're really bored!
Aside from trade jobs, my employment roles included: Superintendent/Foreman, Project Manager and Estimator. In other trades, I have extensive knowledge/experience in (residential) masonry/concrete, roofing, plumbing, electrical and HVAC. I'm an Author/writer, first published in 2002 (and hoping to be a full-time writer). Because of my experiences, I do not associate people with/by their professions; for example, my construction background is only a fraction of who I am; of what I know! Sure, it has shaped me and directed my cognition as well as my cause, but inwardly, I'm a writer; an Author. Jesus was also a carpenter and that shaped His lifestyle, the metaphors and parables He employed, etc. Being an Author is also being Tekton. Indeed, I like the creative process of design/build (or troubleshooting them); I always have: Building an entire home and then standing back to admire that effort is gratifying, as is renovation and design work; even consultation! I'm not really looking for a job, per say; my web pages are informative and reflective, but not as an employment resume! Nonetheless, I am open to any opportunity; that's why I have the data public, just in case. Resumes only show what we did for work, it does not reveal who we are; not our IQ/EQ, and certainly not our potential. Experience means little; it is the passing of time, which is inevitable. My own experience with resumes (as an employer) was humorous: I used to post newspaper ads seeking trades people, and out came the resumes! Oh, they looked good, and they usually checked out, but after hiring them, those good references taught me what to say to the next sucker that got stuck with them! After all, unemployment insurance is expensive; better they get hired elsewhere, than to go on unemployment; better to give them a good reference so they can secure a job elsewhere. After that I refused resumes, hiring them instead, on a trial basis (I was, after all, born/raised in the Show-me State). Talent and experience are completely separate issues, and because it takes talent to recognize talent, most HR's focus on experience and resume data; something tangible that they can understand; for someone else to call upon, to fill in the gaps they have, due to their own absence of discernment. We are not the sum of our past, but the sum of our presence!

I'm a Cultural Architect, craftsman, naturalist, social ecologist, artisan, green builder, lefty Virgo, cyclist, musician (drums) and perpetual autodidact! I am currently studying alternative energy systems to expand deeper into that arena. Other study topics of interest are: multiple intelligence/s and savantism, sociology, physics and other earth and space sciences. I have no criminal record; (can pass a background check/drug test): In all things, moderation; that's the motto I follow! Currently an omnivore but willing to be converted by a palate-teasing vegan chef. I eat well and hike and bike some, so I'm physically as well as emotionally fit: Balance, or centeredness, is avoiding the extremes; the "Pendulum at Peace" as I call it! I like smooth jazz, ccm, classical and celtic music (npr & itunes radio). I watch: National Geographic, the Discovery Network of channels, the History channel, PBS, C-Span, Research & other University cable channels, (and select mlb & nfl games), but I avoid network tv and all the rest of "moron tv": I consume mostly non-fiction. I'm a dog and horse person. I live a simple life; living gentle upon the Earth. I like building websites, I read and write much online too; got a laptop on a cell-modem for communications. I sleep 9 hours per rotation; My IQ is 149 (TA3), with a healthy EQ as well! I like hiking, camping, and have many miles logged on Amtrak: I mostly use public transportation (buses/lite-rail), bike or walk; only fly in emergencies or to cross oceans. I'm legally married (05/05/00) but she abandoned me in late 05 for a millionaire: I married in/while serving as a missionary in Davao City, Philippines. Side Note: Many will need to discount, disregard, or in some other way attenuate much of what I write/publish. This is logical, but it's also cultural. As humans began to find ways to make monies and get their basic needs, but without actually laboring, this went from bad to worse. Since being a criminal often turned out to be very laborious and very dangerous, the need for soft-money came into being. This birthed the create-a-jobs, and the Pharisees of Jesus' time, was one such example (out of thousands)! The naturally lazy human seeks that path of least resistance. All this lead to the many lazy-man money-schemes that the Capitalist's of the Renaissance Era begat. To make that long story short, the selling of education became one of the multiple-thousands of such market paradigms. The Bible was written by simple men with no Seminary Degrees, and so, why would we need one to understand it? Well, because they tell you it is so, and since they do not labor for their own needs and live simple lives, what do you expect them to do; to say? As these human-created credential-mills became normalized, so did the mindset surrounding them, within the cultural drones and parrots of acculturation. Now, any intelligent person can select their own curriculum and study without a teacher and a board of directors. I do not oppose credentialism, but I do oppose the human addiction to them. Of course we would prefer our doctors to have a degree from a competent medical school, but every single person who has said degree, is not a superior surgeon because of it. Memorization and cognition are completely separate issues, and the credential only proves the memory of data, not necessarily the cognition of it. As a Christian, I believe and know, that the Indwelling Holy Spirit reveals more to us, than the mortal brain can ever hope to attain on its own. We of the Indwelling have the mind of Christ and the wisdom of God Almighty. Without God-in-us, the word of God is nothing more than words that are exploited for exploitation purposes; to feed the bank, the flesh and the ego. To those with eyes to see and ears to hear!
